Disha (meaning “direction”) is career track component part of the Embedded Systems course – ECEP. Along with technical skills it is important for students to get trained in some other areas (ex: facing interviews, basic soft skills). Disha is an initiative from Emertxe to train our students in this area as well. This consist of the following components:

• Resume preparation workshop – How to create an impressive resume for placement companies?
• Interview facing workshop – How to face technical and HR interviews effectively? What are the best practices to follow? How to avoid common mistakes?
• Seminars – Interaction with industry experts on experience sharing, soft skills and career building
• Counselling – Career counselling / Interview tips / Higher study support (ex: LOR) to students

Creating impressive resume is very important item. Placement companies look for specific skillsets and its correct representation before shortlisting them for fresher jobs. As a part of Disha we conduct workshop for creating it by calling out skillsets in an impressive manner. By the end of the workshop students will have a professional quality resume ready that can be sent to companies for placements. Yes. As a part of our course, regular weekly objective tests are conducted meant to prepare you continuously for interviews in core embedded companies. Technically, these tests are of extremely high standard, which will set you up for clearing written test of any company. In order to deliver we have an online test ecosystem using which you can take it up any-time anywhere. Along with weekly tests ample amount of practise tests are given to students which will make you clear written test with ease.

On the other hand companies expect students to perform well in their Engineering Aptitude (ex: Digital electronics) and General Aptitude (ex: Quantitative) for which we expect students to prepare on their own. We can provide necessary resources (ex: Question banks) which students can practise before appearing for a company’s written test.

Once the resume gets shortlisted and clearing the written test, next step is to attend technical and HR interviews. Interviewers expect candidates to demonstrate certain key things (technical capability, problem solving skills, representing skill, team player etc.) which plays an important role in giving out a job offer. In Emertxe regular workshops are conducted to make you confident in facing interviews by addressing all aspects of interviews.

As a part of Disha we invite industry experts (senior professionals, directors, CEOs of companies) to interact with our ECEP students. They will provide specific experience sharing based on their career success that would help fresh engineers to build a long term perspective of building careers. In order to bring better awareness and increase the interview preparation workshop is conducted. This will prepare you well and enable you to crack interviews. 

Absolutely yes. Career guidance and counselling is part of DISHA. It is quite understandable that students will be in confused state, some of them are mentioned as follows:

• Should I go for higher studies or get into a job now?
• What type of placement companies should I target given that 25-30 companies visit Emertxe / month?
• If I go for higher studies can I get my Letter-Of-Recommendation (LOR) from Emertxe mentors?
• Should I join start-up or a big company?
• Developer or tester? – Which one is good to start career?

In such occasion our senior mentor will be available for your support. By having 1:1 discussions with them they will share their recommendations based on years of experience in their personal career and building thousands of students in Emertxe. Resumes play very important role in getting a profile shortlisted. It should demonstrate necessary technical skill-sets and project output to showcase individual’s capability. Based on our experience we observed students won’t spend much time in building a quality resume and tend to copy/paste from their friends/colleagues. Added to that today’s fresh engineer don’t have much to write in their resume by the end of their degree.

With skill-based training approach from Emertxe Embedded Systems Course, students will be able to build a stack of core Embedded skills with a set of impressive projects. This is integrated with our Embedded Systems Course (ECEP), happens are a parallel track. There is no extra charge for this.

Our embedded systems online course is delivered by using software simulators, an example being PICSimLab for PIC based microcontrollers. U can learn the entire skills with your laptop / desktop itself, and become hands-on which will map with working on a real hardware.

Having said that, if you still want to work on the actual hardware, you can go ahead and buy the hardware on your own from various vendors available across the country. We will be sharing you to some reference links from where you can buy them online. 

Also whatever the source code you have written using simulator will work in the real hardware by making very minimal changes into the code. That way there won’t be any advantage or disadvantage whether you are learning from a real board or simulator.

In our classroom based embedded systems courses, you are meeting and interacting with the mentor face to face thereby naturally building the engagement.This applies to any classroom based training programs on any topic. In Emertxe it is divided into classroom sessions followed by lab sessions. In the classroom session mentors will be providing you with conceptual understanding followed by hands-on demonstrations.In the lab sessions our lab mentors will guide you to complete assignments. 

 In the Online Embedded program, the same experience is replicated using our digital ecosystem which includes Online Virtual classrooms, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Chat tools, Forums etc. Here also classes are divided into virtual classroom and structured interventions instead of lab sessions. In Fact, the online support and intervention provided in Online training is unlimited, just that the delivery mechanism is digital and 100% effective as well.

 In both modes of deliveries our team of mentors ensure that there is no compromise with respect to the overall quality and effectiveness of the program. It is up to the individual to follow the instructions provided by the mentors and have the maximum take away.

As called out above, an online classroom cannot 100% substitute for a physical classroom because real people are not present. Apparently, Emertxe has put together a digital ecosystem backed by a strong structured intervention model. This ensures an end-to-end learning process which includes conceptual understanding, hands-on exercises, assignment explainers, doubt clearing, evaluation, regular tests, interview preparation sessions happens without any compromise on the overall effectiveness of delivery.

Our online classes for the embedded system course are conducted via Live Virtual Classes (LVC). The mentor will be explaining and demonstrating a particular topic using remote conferencing tools like Gotomeeting, Zoom etc. 

 Our online classes are structured very well, where students can ask the questions to the mentors in live class itself. Our mentors also keep conducting Q&A sessions, Quizzes and Online competitions etc..to increase the participation and engagement from our students.

In the online mode of classes, you can clarify your doubts in LVC itself via various online interfaces provided to you. However if your doubt requires more time to be spent, you can reach out to our team of mentors via various support channels like – Online Forums, Chat, WhatsApp groups etc. where you can clarify your questions. If it still doesn’t clarify your doubt our mentors will set up a 1:1 session with you using the remote conferencing tool and clarify your doubts.

In case you miss your live virtual class, the recorded session will be given to you via our online Learning Management System (LMS). You can replay that class once again and understand the missed portion.
